The only Oriental rugs currently produced in the U.S. are made by machine (not hand knotted). So, after the design work is completed, Hratch works with different manufacturers overseas—primarily in Pakistan, India and Egypt.

The weave, texture and style of each rug determines where it will be woven.

Some rugs are made by “workshops” of weavers in factories, while others are made at the weavers’ homes where women can take care of their families while the months-long project continues.

Ko ‘Z’ Craft does not do business with any manufacturers who engage in child labor.
